Cost Types and Costcode Groups

Overview:

The Cost Type and Costcode Groups window allows users to consolidate groups of Cost Types and/or Costcodes so that information from each "Group" shows up on various reports and inquiry windows. Cost Type and Costcode Groups can be created in the  "Cost Type and Costcode Groups" window, which allows creation of groups by Legal Entity Organizational Unit. 

Example: An organization might have multiple tasks signifying Labor: Management, Brick Laying, Tying Re bar, etc. In this scenario, a Cost Type Group can help by grouping all of those cost types into a Labor Cost Type Group. After this happens select reports will be able to group all relevant Cost Types into a single "Labor" group.

Benefits:

• Allows users to groups multiple Cost Types into a single Cost Type Group
• Allows users to group multiple Costcodes into a single Costcode Group
• Provides for unique groups across different LE OU's
