Subcontracts
Overview:
A Subcontract is an agreement between the primary contractor on a Job, and an independent third party. In a Subcontract Agreement, the primary contractor hires an independent third party contractor to perform certain work on the Job the primary contractor cannot perform, or cannot perform in a timely or cost effective manner. The Subcontract window in PENTA allows you to track this agreement, which in turn tracks committed costs on the Job. This window also has built in functionality to track Subcontractor Insurance requirements, which can automatically place AP invoices on hold, when the Subcontract doesn't have valid or current insurance information. After you have entered the Subcontract Agreement in PENTA, you can use the File > Reports menu to generate the Subcontract Agreement and send to the Subcontractor for sign off.
