Change Job OU/Job Type Process

Overview:

The Change Job OU / Job Type process allows a Job that was setup incorrectly, or a new OU is taking ownership of the Job, to be updated.  The process optionally creates a transfer entry to move transactions related to the job to a new OU.  This transfer is typically performed by the Accounting Department due to the impact on the books.

Benefits:

  • Updates the Job so future transactions post to the correct OU or Job Type

  • PENTA can automatically post transfer entries instead of manual calculating and entry

  • PENTA can include transactions from prior fiscal years, if desired, in the transfer
