Update Job Information Retention Rules / Create Retroactive Retention Entry
Overview:
The Job Information window is used to create the Job record in PENTA. Each Job has a unique Id that is used to track job cost, revenue, billing, etc. The Job Information window captures the sales tax, payroll, invoicing, and other rules needed for running the job from start to finish. Many different roles in a company can use the Job Information to review and confirm Jobs are setup correctly so the system applies the rules accurately.
At the beginning of the project, the job is setup and retention rules are defined. Midway through the project, if a partial release of retention is approved, the retention percent will need to be lowered and marked retroactive. At that point, during the next billing process, the partial release of retention will be calculated. The training video below will walk through querying back a Job and adding a new retroactive retention entry for purposes of processing a partial retention billing.
