Overview:
As it relates to the Fixed Assets module, tasks can be utilized to assist or track information based on internal equipment Maintenance (E.g. Belt Replacement, Oil Changes, Etc.). Tasks can be added at any time, and the description can be changed as needed. Tasks can also be limited to certain OUs, this concept prevents charging a given tasks to an fixed asset that is setup for an OU that is not considered Valid or "Authorized". This window also allows users to add an "Extended Description" to a task, providing a space to elaborate on the intended use of said task beyond the character restriction of the "Task Description" field.
Benefits:
- Allows users to leverage the Fixed Asset Module's ability to track internal Maintenance costs on Equipment.
- Tasks can be set up dynamically, meaning that their description or Valid OUs can be changed at any time.
- Tasks can be added to PENTA as needed.
