Issue/Symptom/Question

  • When performing the Timecard Distribution process, and after approving retroactive pay adjustments, is a separate step needed to distribute retroactive pay adjustments?
  • Will Retroactive Pay Adjustments automatically be distributed with regular payroll timecards?

Applies To

Penta for Windows

Payroll Module

Retroactive Payroll Processing

Resolution/Fix/Answer

After retroactive pay adjustments have been calculated and approved, the adjustments will automatically get distributed the next time you run the labor distribution process, and be included on the payroll checks/direct deposits for the current week. There is no need to use the 'Retroactive Adjustments' button in the Timecard Distribution window unless you are processing standalone retroactive pay adjustments outside of the normal payroll process. Please refer to Processing Retro Pay amounts as a standalone process on how to process retroactive pay adjustments as a stand alone process.
