An OU is an Organizational Unit in PENTA. Some systems use Company or Business Unit for a similar concept or embed the structure of the organization in the General Ledger.
Any Unit where a Profit and Loss statement should be produced is an OU.
Typical OUs in PENTA:
- Highest Level is holding company
- next level is legal entities
- profit centers, departments, regions, etc.
