Issue/Symptom/Question

I am receiving the following error message when trying to enter a journal entry in the Job-Related Journal Entry window - "Job XXX is not related to Patriarch Job YYY".

Finance and Accounting > Data Entry > Journal Entries > Journal Entry

Resolution/Fix/Answer

The Job-Related Journal Entries window can only be used to issue job cost transfers if the jobs exist within the same parent/child job structure in PENTA.

You must utilize the Journal Entry window to transfer costs between jobs that do not exist within the same parent/child job structure in PENTA.
