Overview:

The Employee Fringe Benefit Authorization window allows you to record authorization to process fringes that require employee level authorization. You can record authorizations by employee or by payroll class. Fringes with the “Req. Emp. Authorization” field set to Y in the Payroll Classes window require authorization in the Employee Fringe Benefit Authorization window to be processed on payroll checks.

Benefits:

Allows for exclusion of Fringe Benefits for most or some employees
Enables the setup and utilization of Fringes that only apply to certain members of a pay class
Assists in setting up unique Fringes that would otherwise require additional pay rates/pay classes to set up.
Allows for the setup of voluntary Fringe Benefits
