Overview:

As Submittals are created and ultimately updated in PENTA's Project Administration module, each Submittal has a status code. A Submittal Status Code can be Open, Closed, or Cancelled, however the Submittal Status Codes window allows you to create multiples of each and assign them a unique description. An example of this could be having multiple 'Open' status codes for purposes of tracking whether a Submittal has been sent to the General Contractor or whether the Submittal has been received from a Vendor. Ultimately, PENTA will view these status codes as open, but you can track as many as needed.

Examples:

Closed:

  • Approved
  • Distributed
  • Approved as Noted

Open:

  • Amend & Return
  • Received from Vendor
  • Sent to General Contractor
  • Received from General Contractor
  • New

Cancelled

  • Cancelled

Benefits:

  • Provides the ability to track the status of Submittals
  • Track Submittals using a variety of status codes, but still summarize the Submittals on the PENTA workbench under Closed, Open, and Cancelled status codes

Roles:

  • Project Manager
