Overview:

Use the Distribute Journal Entries window to distribute balanced journal entries you or another user entered in the General Journal Entry window.

You can distribute journal entries directly from the General Journal Entry window as you enter them; however, this window allows you to segregate duties between entering and distributing journal entries. The user responsible for entering the journal entries uses the General Journal Entry window to record (but not distribute) the entries. The user responsible for distributing the journal entries should use the Distribute Journal Entries window to post the entries made by the other users. The user distributing the entries should use Report Initiation window to generate the Journal Entry Edit List report and review the entries prior to posting.

  • Ability to quickly and easily distribute multiple journal entries at the same time
  • Allows for segregation of duties between entering and distribution journal entries
