Overview:

There are two primary ways to find documents in OnBase: Retrieval Functionality and  OnBase custom queries. The Custom Query functionality  allows users to retrieve documents based on a pre-defined set of search parameters. Custom Queries are the only type of search functionality that is available when using OnBase Mobile. Custom Queries are created in the OnBase Configuration Client, not the Unity Client. To create a Custom Query users need to be trained on how to use the OnBase Configuration client.  Common examples of Custom Queries include:

  • AP Check retrieval
  • AP Invoice
  • Job Drawing
  • Purchase Orders

Benefits:

  • Provides a preset of fields on which the user can search for a given document type
  • Allows users to search for various document in OnBase Mobile and the Unity client

Roles:

  • Accounts Payable Manager
  • Accounts Payable Clerk
  • Project Manager
  • Purchasing Agent

Location:

  • Unity Client> Home Tab> Custom Queries
