Overview:
Anticipated Cost Entries provide the ability to enter and track anticipated cost increases and decreases, in a jobs forecast. These entries are associated to a Anticipated Cost Type, which provides a description for why the anticipated cost is changing, but also determines if the anticipated cost entry will automatically update the forecast in PENTA. By editing job forecasts through the anticipated cost entry window, it provides a more formal process for tracking the increases and decreases to a jobs forecast.
Benefits:
- Provides better reporting of forecast changes at a anticipated cost type level
- Ability to track anticipated cost changes outside of the forecast in situations where we do not want to update the forecast
- Provides a more formal process for tracking forecast cost changes
