Overview:
Work Codes are an additional field that can be used to track on job cost transactions, in addition to cost type, and costcode. If you are using Work Codes, an additional data element will need to be keyed in the field as shown below. Instead of introducing a 4th data element to be keyed in the field, it is recommend to build in this additional attribute into your costcode structure, rather than introducing a new data field, whenever possible.

- Cost Type

With Work Codes
