Overview:

A subcontract change order is change to an already established subcontract agreement, typically between the primary contractor on a job, and an independent third party. After creating/linking a subcontract change order, a separate Subcontract Change Order document is typically generated in PENTA, and sent to the subcontractor for authorization/signature.

Benefits:

  • Offers protection to the workers and owners of projects
  • Track change orders separately
  • Track committed costs to better analyze jobs and inform managers prior to forecasting
  • Auto hold rules on AP invoices where subcontractor insurance is missing or expired
  • Ability to track activity types to track subcontractors progress in the system

Roles:

  • Project Administrator
  • Project Manager
