Overview:

The Payroll Classes window serves a variety of important functions within PENTA's payroll system. Every employee in PENTA must be associated with a Payroll Class. In return, an Employee's Payroll Class helps to define: Type of work performed by the employee, rate of pay, union fringe benefit information, reporting options, how the employee is billed out to the customer, and shift/hazard duty premium information.

For this video, the focus will be on:  How to associate a Payroll Class with a Trade Type and Union, how to set up various types of Union/Fringe Benefits, and how to burden the cost of employer paid Fringe Benefits to Jobs/Work Orders

Benefits:

  • Allows employers to tie an employee to a type of work and local/national union, thus enabling the full use of PENTA's Union Reciprocity functionality.
  • Allows employers to set up various type of union mandated benefits.
  • Allows employers to define how they want to burden those union benefits for which they bare the cost.

Roles:

  • Payroll Clerk
  • Payroll Manager
  • Controller
  • Assistant Controller
