Overview:
Within the Web Dispatch Board, there are options for viewing/updating the technician status on a work order, as well as viewing/updating the status on the work order, independent of service technicians. The video below focuses on how to go about updating the work order status, independent of a service technician. One very common example of this is when your company cannot schedule the work until parts are received from a supplier. In this case, it may be helpful to update the work order status to a 'Waiting on Parts' status or possibly just a generic on hold status.
Benefits:
- Track various work order status codes so dispatchers and service stakeholders know exactly what is going on with each work order when its not assigned to technicians to begin work
- Toggle work orders between the unassigned list and the on hold list
Roles:
- Service Dispatcher
- Service Manager
