Overview:

Within the Web Dispatch Board, there are options for viewing/updating the technician status on a work order (typically to dispatch , as well as viewing/updating the status on the work order to a service technician), but also, to update the status on the work order, independent of service technicians.  The video below focuses on how to go about updating the work order status, independent of a service technicianstechnician. One very common example of this is when your company cannot schedule the work until parts are received from a supplier. In this case, it may be helpful to update the work order status to a 'Waiting on Parts' status or possibly just a generic on hold status. The video below focuses on how to go about updating the work order status, independent of a service technician.

Benefits:

  • Track various work order status codes so dispatchers and service stakeholders know exactly what is going on with each work order when its not assigned to technicians to begin work
  • Toggle work orders between the unassigned list and the on hold list

Roles:

  • Service Dispatcher
  • Service Manager
