Overview:
Within PENTA, the W2 Submitter record provides header level information for electronic W2 records. Any entity that is generating W2's electronically from PENTA requires a W2 Submitter record to be set up. W2 Submitter records are set up at the Legal Entity level, thus a scenario is possible where an entity has multiple W2 Submitter records set up in the same database. Once a Submitter record is set up, PENTA uses information stored within the record to processes electronic W2's.
Benefits:
- Allows companies to store data required by the SSA Electronic format and other various State level formats.
- Enables use of PENTA's Electronic Filing capabilities
- Provides a dynamic method of storing data that is not stored anywhere else in PENTA.
