Overview:

Use the PTO Accrual Schedule Information window to establish schedules for accruing paid time off. Examples include schedules for vacation and holiday paid time off. You can establish accrual rates, limits, and calculation rules by effective date and years of service. PTO Accrual Schedules can be assigned to a Payroll Class, a Payroll Class/Pay Rate combination, or directly to the Employee. If schedules are assigned at more than one level, PENTA will use the following hierarchy to determine which schedule to use.

1. Employee

2. Payroll Class/Pay Rate

3. Payroll Class

Benefits:

  • PTO Accrual Schedules allow for PENTA to calculate PTO as part of regular payroll processing
  • Multiple options for controlling accrual limits, such as annual accrual limits, cumulative accrual limits, and carry over limits
  • Can be assigned to group of employees via payroll classes and/or payroll class/pay rates, or directly to employees

Roles:

  • Payroll Manager
