Resolution/Fix/Answer

PENTA will prevent navigation out of the screen or to a new record when a required field is missing information.  The system does not require a Save button to be pushed with each entry and as soon as all required info is entered the data is saved.  If required information is missing, the system wants that information to continue because the entry is incomplete without it.  All underlined fields are required.  The System does prompt in the lower left that a field is required and the cursor will move to the next required field.  If hitting the Cancel button or Delete button undoes the entry made, then the above situation is the issue.  Continue entering all required fields to Exit or go to the Next Record.

If the above is not the case, then please provide the sequence of steps to duplicate with the creation of the Support Ticket.  For example:

  1. Enter Employee Id 123, hit tab
  2. Enter SS #, hit enter
  3. Click on First Name
  4. ...

In a rare occasion where the system locks when it loses connectivity with the database, follow these steps:

  1. Hit Ctrl+Alt+End, if connecting to PENTA on a Remote Desktop (or Right Click on the Task bar and select Task Manager)
  2. Click the Task Manager option
  3. Select PENTA in the Task Manager
  4. Click End Task to exit the PENTA Session
  5. Log into PENTA again
