Overview:

Fixed Asset Categories serve as a means to capture Fixed Asset related cost transactions and direct them to the general ledger. Any cost transaction that would normally be linked to a Fixed Asset can be entered as a Fixed Asset Category. Using Fixed asset categories enables a suite of  Fixed Asset reporting options and allowes users to provide profitability reporting at an individual fixed asset level. 

Common Examples of Expense Categories include:

  • Fuel
  • Depreciation
  • Maintenance
  • Registration

Benefits:

  • Provide accurate records for the Fixed Asset module
  • Enables profitability reporting on an Asset by Asset basis
  • Used to fully leverage PENTA's Fixed Asset reporting
