Overview:

For employer's that calculate payroll based on a unit rate payroll system (dollars per unit rather than dollars per hour), there is typically a minimum wage rate that employees must be paid, regardless of units worked. For these situations, the Minimum Wage Rates window allows  you to define that baseline that employees must get paid. PENTA can then compare the employee's unit rate pay, to the minimum wage rates, and if the minimum wage rates is higher than their calculated unit pay, increase the employees gross pay.

Benefits:

  • Define minimum wage rates for unit rate payroll calculations
  • Avoid underpaying employees and meet union and non-union pay requirements

Roles:

  • Payroll Manager
