Overview:
Trade Types are associated to a union master or payroll classification to note the trade associated with all employees in that union or non-union classification. Trade Type is a required field when setting up both Union Information and Payroll Classes. Trade types are also utilized when setting up union reciprocity rules. Union Reciprocity rules can only be defined for two unions that have the same trade. Common examples of trade types are as follows:
- Boilermaker
- Electrician
- Painter
- Pipefitter
- Welder
- Laborer
Benefits:
- Used to note the trade on all employees in a given union or non-union payroll class
- Utilized in the Union Reciprocity setup window
