Overview:
The Workers Compensation window allows user to add or modify Workers Compensation Codes and Rates in PENTA. For Workers Compensation purposes there are generally three Categories of setup : The Workers Comp Code and associated rate, what general ledger accounts are utilized for workers comp accrual purposes, and lastly the Workers Comp State that applies to the timecard (typically driven by Job/work Order ORĀ Employee Mater). In the Workers Comp Codes and Rates window the user will focus on the first item: Setting up the Master Code and Rate, GL accounts and WC State (as it appears on the timecard) is not addressed in this window. This window also allows users to set up Job-Cost Type/Costcode and Job Type cross references, enabling the user to define which Jobs or Job Types a given Workers Comp Code is attributable to.
Benefits:
- Enables users to track changes in Workers Comp Rates across time.
- Gives users the ability to correctly withhold Worker Compensation for time logged in periods dated before the most current WC Rate
- Gives users the ability to tie WC rates to specific Jobs/Cost Types or Costcodes
