The owner of an activity log is unavailable, and a change needs to be made to that activity log, or the activity log needs to be submitted for approval.

Resolution/Fix/Answer

There are restrictions that can be set within the module security settings that control if the user will be able to update other users' activity logs.  This becomes necessary if the owner of an activity log is not available to modify it themselves, or they are unavailable to reassign it.  The value of the Define User window’s Security Action Code field determines whether users can modify and submit for approval activity logs for others.  If the Security Action Code field’s value is Y, users can modify and submit for approval others' activity logs.  If the Security Action Code field’s value is N, PENTA does not allow modifying and submitting for approval others' activity logs.

You would be able to change this permission per user in the Define Users security window.  Only do this for the users you want to have permission modify and submit for approval other users' activity logs.

System Management > Security > Define Users > Query the User > Module Security Tab > Query Module ‘TEP’ 

Change to Y for the "Modify and Submit Other Users' Activity Logs" option.

This value can also be set at the security group level.

System Management > Security > Security Groups > Module Security Tab > PentaWeb Time/EQ/Production

Change to Yes for the "Modify and Submit Other Users' Activity Logs" option.

By default, any user belonging to this group will have permission to modify and submit activity logs.
