Issue/Symptom/Question

When clicking on the paperclip icon in a Penta for Windows screen, I receive an application error message that says 'An internal system error has been detected. The application will close.'

• Penta for Windows
• Clicking the paperclip icon in any Penta for Windows window

Resolution

To fix this error message:

• Make sure the currect version of PfW OnBase Add-ons is installed.
• Make sure the currect version of PentaEcmUtilities is installed.
• If the currect version of both of the programs above are installed, uninstall and reinstall each of the programs.
  
  

If your company IT department does not have the installers for these programs, please log a Service Desk ticket and reference this article.

Cause 

This is error is caused when the current versions of the PfW OnBase Add-ons or PentaEcmUtilities programs are not installed.
