Unable to select/ change the status of a Work Order in MFS

Issue/Symptom/Question

We're unable to select or change the status of "Job" Work Orders in MFS.

Applies To

Mobile Field Service

PENTA for Windows

Service Management > Mobile Field Service > Configuration > Mobile Service Configuration - Status Rules

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Status Codes for "Job" Work Orders has not been configured, so MFS doesn't know what Statuses it should list if the current status of the Work Order is set to "Assigned".

1) Service Management > Mobile Field Service > Configuration > Mobile Service Configuration - Status Rules

2) Under "User Defined Status Code" click on "A" for "Assigned"

The Mobile Service Configuration - Status Rules window allows you to establish rules that control which User Defined Statuses are available to mobile devices for use on jobs, work orders, and non-productive tasks. This window allows you to control when the Statuses are available for use by a technician and helps to ensure a technician has completed step "A" before working on step "B".

Valid "next" status codes if the current status code is _______ and the current assignment is a _______

The bottom block lists possible Status Codes that a technician can assign when their current "working" status is the User Defined Status Code that has focus in the top block of this window. For example, if the User Defined Status Code is "Waiting for Parts", use these fields to indicate that the next Status Code a technician could enter on the mobile device is "Received Parts" or "Work Completed".
