California Paid Family Leave (PFL) setup
Issue/Symptom/Question
We have a new employee we hired that lives and works in California and want to ensure setting up correctly. Can you please provide me the guide for setting up paid family leave for the state of California?

Payroll > Setup > Taxes > State Tax Information
Resolution/Fix/Answer
Employees in California pay their portion of State Disability Insurance (SDI) which qualifies them for California PFL. Employee SDI is set up in the Payroll > Taxes > State Tax Information window. Setup/Query the State Code: of CA and add/update the SDI effective date, rate, limit and self-adjustment flag in the SDI/SUI Rates/Limits tab.
