What controls the columns that display on TEP Activity Detail screens?

Issue/Symptom/Question

Why are Costcodes I am using for tracking production units showing on the Labor timecard entry screen of TEP?  The number of costcode columns displaying causes a lot of scrolling left and right, and I might incorrectly record hours to the costcodes for production.

TEP

Labor Timecard Entry

Resolution/Fix/Answer

The Costcodes that are assigned to the Activity log should be for the days assigned to the log.

  • If creating a daily Activity log, then only assign Costcodes for that day to the log, instead of every possible Costcode on the Job.
  • If creating a weekly log, then only assign the Costcodes for that week.

The Costcodes that show on the Employee screen of TEP are limited to the Labor Cost Type Category as indicated below:

If there is a desire to hide the Production Unit Costcodes from the Employee Time Entry screen, switch the Cost Type Category of the Production Unit Cost Type to be Equipment.  Both Equipment and Labor Categories show on the Production Entry screen.

If Equipment Time is entered/used, then switching the Category of the Cost Type won't work because it moves the issue from the Labor Time Entry screen to the Equipment Time Entry screen.
