Why are we getting Line Item is inactive error when adding a manual revenue recognition entry for a job?
Issue/Symptom/Question
Why are we getting and error message, "Line item is inactive" in the Manual Cost/Revenue Recoginition Entry window?
Environment
- PENTA for Windows
- Finance & Accounting > Data Entry > Revenue Recognition > Manual Cost/Revenue Recognition Entry window
- Project Management > Owner Contract Information > Contract Information
- Job is active
- Manual Revenue Recognition line item date is dated far enough back for user to be able to make the entry
Resolution/Fix/Answer
- Navigate to the Contract Information window and query the job
- Click on the Cost Plus line item button
- arrow to the Manual Revenue Recognition line item
- If the Line Item status is 'C' for Complete please change the status to 'A' for Active
- Once the Line Item is active the user will be able to enter the Manual Revenue Recognition entry

- Job's status was closed and reopened
