Labor Interface Detail records - distribute by work date
Issue/Symptom/Question
We need assistance on how the labor interface file needs to be configured so all detail rows distribute by work date.
Applies To
Initiate Batch Interface
Distribute timecards
Resolution/Fix/Answer
The date in the header record is optional, and if not entered, Penta will use the week ending date entered on each of the detail records to calculate the work date by using the Hours 1 - 7 fields on each row.
The Week Ending Date corresponds to the date that would be entered in the Hours 7 field -
Example interface file entry:
Empl Work Date Hr1 Hr2 Hr3 Hr4 Hr5 Hr6 Hr7 Hr Cls Job CT CC Pay Cls Pay Rt
213 | 20181110 | 8.5 | 100 | 604 | L | 1518 | 604 | 10 |
The record above indicates that employee 213 worked 8.5 hours on Sunday 11/4/18, on job 604, cost type L, costcode 1518, in pay class 604, pay rate 10. Penta works back from the w/e date entered, so each field should populate the correct work date leading up to the entered period end date in the second field of the detail row.
Hours worked on Monday would be in Hours 2, etc.
