How are the Amount, Units and Unit Price fields calculated in the Line Item Status block of the Line Items Tab in the Subcontract Information window?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

The Amount, Units and Unit Price fields in the Line Item Status block of Subcontract Information are calculated differently depending on how they were entered in the Pricing History block of the tab.

If the Pricing History was added by entering values in the Amount, and Units fields on each of the lines, then in the calculation Line Item Status block is as follows:

• The Amount field is the sum of the Amount fields of the Pricing History lines.
• The Units field is the sum of the Units fields of the Pricing History lines.
• The Unit Price field is calculated by taking the Amount field divided by the Units field to determine a Unit Price.

If the Pricing History was added by entering values in the Unit Price, and Units fields on each of the lines, then in the calculation Line Item Status block is as follows:

• The Units field is the sum of the Units fields of the Pricing History lines.
• The Unit Price field is the most recent Unit Price entered in the Pricing History block.
• The Amount field is calculated by taking the Units multiplied by Unit Price in the Line Item Status block.
