Issue/Symptom/Question

Is there a way to limit the Technician Id list of values field in the Customer Console and Work Order window so that only Service Technicians appear, and not office employees?

Is there a way to limit the Project Manager Id field in the Job Information window so that only employees flagged as Project Managers are displayed in the list of values window?

Why do Employees assigned to the Service Technician role only show in the Crew Maintenance Employee popup window?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Yes, system option 264 controls whether employee roles are limited in the employee role list of values windows.

  • First, you will want to flag all employees with their corresponding employee role (Project Manager, Service Technician, etc.). This can be done in the Employee Payroll Information window via the Employee Roles button on the Master tab

  • Second, you will need to update system option 264 so that PENTA limits LOV windows by employee roles.
