The tax kit installation from PENTA is complete but I need to install the Patch in my environment. How do I do this?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

To install the client patch file, please do the following:

1. Download and save the production patch file to the desired location from the Penta Downloads page.
   1. The link is different for each client: downloads.teampenta.com/pfw/<your Penta client code>
   2. File Name: pfwSetup-<client code and production version>-patch-COMP000XXX
2. Install the patch file on your production client machines
   
3. If you are using centralized production.ini files:
1. If you are unsure if you use a central .ini file please review this Knowledge Base article.
2. Find the patch.ini file that was installed with the tax kit update. This will be in the ‘Installation Directory’ usually located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Penta Technologies, Inc\Penta for Windows
3. The patch.ini builds upon previously installed patches and will need to be copied to the centralized location.
4. Copy the patch.ini file to the Central Location for the production environment after the patch is installed. Both the ‘Installation Directory’ and the Central location should have the same patch.ini file.
