Environment

PENTA for Windows → System Management → Security → Define Users

PENTA for Windows → System Management → Security → Security Groups

Resolution/Fix/Answer

This error message means the Primary Approver for the Job's OU currently does not have authorization configured in that Approver's Define Users settings.

Please Advise:

  1. Query the Job ID of the Inventory Transaction in the Job Information window

  2. Note the OU ID set for the Job ID

  3. Initiate the Mobile Service Configuration - Approvers window

  4. Query the OU ID set for the Job ID

  5. Note which User ID is set for that OU's Primary Approver

  6. Initiate the Define Users window

  7. Query the user that should be the Primary Approver for the Job's OU

  8. Navigate to the Group Authorization section and find the appropriate Security Group that should grant access to the Material Transfers and the Mobile Service - Security Access windows

  9. Enter the Job ID's OU into a new row

  10. Close out of the window

  11. Navigate to the System Management → Security → Security Groups window

  12. Query the Security Group that was updated in the Define Users window

  13. Grant access to the Inventory > Warehouse Transactions > Material Transfer and the Service Management > Mobile Field Service > Mobile Service - Security Access windows

  14. Close out the window

  15. Proceed to reprocess the Job Inventory Transaction in the Mobile Service Exceptions screen

Cause

When a Mobile Field Service technician submits a ticket for a Job with Job Inventory transactions, those transactions are automatically processed in the backend. In the backend, this process looks for the Job ID's OU and its Primary Approver for that OU. That Primary Approver's Define User settings still need to grant access to the Material Transfer and Mobile Service - Security Access windows for this Job Inventory transaction to process.
