Use the Job Cost Type Category by Costcode report to review the status of a job or jobs within an organizational unit. The report provides a summary of the contract information including:
- Current contract amount
- Billed to date
- Collected to date
- Retention held
- Outstanding receivable
Job cost information is summarized by Cost Type category (Labor, Burden, Equipment, Materials, Subcontracts, and Other) and includes the following values:
- Original Estimate
- Estimate Approved Change Requests
- Current Estimate
- Month-to-Date Cost
- Job-to-Date Cost
- Budget Variance
This report shows totals by Job, OU ID, and report grand total.

Report Fields
Current Contract Amount - Calculated as: The original contract value + Approved contract changes
Billed To Date - The job to date billed.
Collected To Date - Total cash receipts collected to date on billings for the job.
Retention Held - The amount of open accounts receivable retention for the job.
Outstanding Receivable - Open receivables already billed but not yet collected for the job.
Original Estimate - Original estimated cost.
Estimate Change Requests - Approved changes to the estimated cost.
Current Estimate - Calculated as: Original estimate + Approved estimate changes
MTD Cost - The month-to-date cost recorded for the job.
JTD Cost - The total costs recorded to date for the job.
Budget Variance - Calculated as: Current Estimate – JTD Cost
