Use the Job Cost and Productivity report to review job cost, revenue, and Costcode performance. At the end of each job, the report shows a Cost Summary and a revenue summary.

Report Fields

Costcode - ID of the Costcode.

CT - ID of the Cost Type.

Description - The Costcode’s description.

UOM - The Costcode’s Unit of Measure.

Estimate Original - The Costcode’s original estimate.

Estimate Current - The Costcode’s current estimate including approved change requests.

Committed Total - The total amount of purchase order and subcontract committed costs for the Costcode.

Committed remaining - The purchase order and subcontract committed cost not yet invoiced.

Actual Current - The Costcode’s actual cost amount incurred during the report date range.

Actual PF Job-to-Date - Calculated as: (Job to date units ÷ Job to date hours) ÷ (Current estimated units ÷ Current estimated hours)

Actual PF - Calculated as: (Current units ÷ Current hours) ÷ (Current estimated units ÷ Current estimated hours)

Forecast to Complete - The forecast cost to complete the work on the Costcode.

Forecast to Complete PF - Calculated as: (Forecast at complete units – Job to date units) ÷ (Current estimated units ÷ Current estimated hours)

Forecast At complete - The forecast cost at complete for the Costcode.

Forecast at Complete PF - Calculated as: (Forecast at complete units ÷ Forecast at complete hours) ÷ (Current estimated units ÷ Current estimated hours)

Variance - Calculated as: Forecasted amount – Actual cost

Cost Summary Fields - This section provides a summary of cost on the job at a Cost Type level. Information includes estimate, actual, and forecasts.

Cost Type - ID of the Cost Type.

Original Estimate - The Cost Type’s original estimate.

Approved Changes - The amount of approved estimate changes for the Cost Type.

Current Estimates - The original estimate +/- the approved changes.

Pending Changes - Estimate changes for the Cost Type that are not yet approved.

Actual Current Cost - Actual costs for the Cost Type charged to the job in the current period.

JTD Cost - Job to date cost for the Cost Type.

% Spent - Calculated as: Job to date cost ÷ Current estimate.

Forecast Cost To Complete - Forecasted costs remaining to complete work for the Cost Type.

Forecast Cost At Complete - Forecast cost at completion of work for the Cost Type.

Projected Variance - Calculated as: The forecasted cost at complete – The current estimate

Revenue Summary Fields - This section provides a summary of revenue related information for the job, including contract, billings, revenue, gross margin, and over/under billings

Original Contract - The original contract amount for the job.

Approved Changes - Approved changes to the job’s contract amount.

Current Contract - Calculated as: Original contract + Approved changes

Pending Changes - Pending changes to the job contract amount.

Projected Contract - Calculated as: Current contract + Pending changes

Billings to Date - Job to date billing amount.

Projected Remaining Billings - Calculated as: Projected contract – Billings to date

Earned Revenue - The Job to date earned revenue amount.

(Over)/Under Billed - The Job’s (over)/under billed balance.

Gross Margin - Original - Calculated as: Original contract – Original estimate.

Gross Margin - Current - Calculated as: Current contract – Current estimate

Gross Margin - Actual - Calculated as: Earned revenue – Job to date cost

Gross Margin - Projected - Calculated as: Projected Contract – Cost at complete

Gross Margin – Indicated Outcome - Calculated as: Current Contract – Cost at complete
