Use the Job Cost Summary by Revenue Category report to analyze job profitability and performance by revenue category. Revenue categories are user defined codes that you can associate with both contract line items and Costcodes.

For example, if you have a job that contains some components performed on a cost plus basis and other components performed on a lump sum basis, your revenue categories may be the Contract Type of Lump Sum and Cost Plus. You could associate the appropriate revenue categories with each line item and Costcode. This would allow you to analyze the profitability of the Cost Plus work versus the lump sum work.

Report Fields

Revenue Category - The Revenue Categories assigned to the job’s line items and Costcodes.

Contract (Orig+Appr) - The total contract value. This is calculated as: Original contract + Approved changes.

Original Estimate Hours - The original estimated hours for the Revenue Category.

Original Estimate Cost - The original estimated cost for the Revenue Category.

Revised Estimate Hours - Calculated as: The original estimate hours + Estimate hours for approved changes for the Revenue Category

Revised Estimate Cost - Calculated as: The original estimate cost + estimate cost for approved changes for the Revenue Category.

Actuals Hours - The job to date hours for the Revenue Category.

Actuals Cost - The job to cost for the Revenue Category.

Forecast Hours - The forecasted hours at complete for the Revenue Category.

Forecast Cost - The forecasted cost at complete for the Revenue Category.

Forecast Variance Hours - Calculated as: Revised Estimate Hours – Forecast Hours for the Revenue Category.

Forecast Variance Cost - Calculated as: Revised Estimate Cost – Forecast Cost for the Revenue Category.

Total Billed To Date - Job to Date Billed for the Revenue Category.

Billing Vs Cost - Calculated as: Total Billed to Date – Actuals Cost for the Revenue Category.

AR Aging Over 60 - The amount of Accounts Receivable outstanding over 60 days for the Revenue Category.
