Issue/Symptom/Question

A sales tax rate increased from 8.5% to 9.5% on 1/1/23. We were unaware of this. In trying to rebill a job, and override the tax rate we find that Penta is ignoring the new rate (9.5%) and is only recognizing the old rate of 8.5%.

Resolution/Fix/Answer

A record was added to Penta with the effective date after the initial entry of 9.5% which changed the percent to 8.5%. Adding a new record with the same effective date as the incorrect percent date updated the percent to the correct rate.
