Issue/Symptom/Question

The OnBase viewer / document preview control within the Documents dialog window in Penta ("The Paperclip") has been deprecated and is no longer supported.  Hyland has been replaced it with DocPop.

Per Hyland, "DocPop is a document retrieval tool that...allows internal or external Web sites to integrate custom Web pages with the Web Server’s querying and document viewing mechanisms."

Resolution/Fix/Answer

Penta replaced the viewer control previously embedded in the "Attachments", "References" and "Results" views of the Documents dialog window ("The Paperclip"), with the ability to drill down on any given document to a webpage that will display the selected document. 

To view a document:

1. Click the paperclip from the Penta entity (Job, Vendor, Work Order, etc).
2. Find the document you would like to view from the list in the appropriate list (Attachments, References, or Results).
3. Double-click on the document to open it in your default browser.

DocPop will briefly display the list of documents with that Document ID (should be one document), and then it will display the document itself.
