I am receiving this warning message when entering an PO Receipt against a PO. "The quantity ordered was 10.000 units for this purchase order line item." Why is Penta providing this warning message?

Resolution/Fix/Answer

This warning or error message informs the user the quantity entered to be received for the PO/Line # exceeds the quantity ordered on the PO/Line #. If system option # 357 is set to W, Penta will warn the user but allow them to receive more units than what was ordered on the PO/Line #. If system option #357 is set to E, Penta will provide the error message not NOT allow the user to receive more units than what was ordered on the PO/Line #. The user would need to reduce the quantity to be received or update the PO/Line # before proceeding.
