Overview:

Within the Web Dispatch Board, there are options for viewing/updating the technician status on a work order, and viewing/updating the status on a work order, independent of service technicians. The video below focuses on how to go about viewing/updating the technician status on a work order. This is very useful to view when a work order was dispatched to a technician, and can also be used to re-assign work orders to a different technicians, or perhaps move the work order back to an unassigned status so it can be assigned at a later date.

NOTE: If you are dispatching work orders to a technicians using the Mobile Field Service application, dispatched work orders cannot be reassigned by anyone other than the technician. However, other technicians can be dispatched the same work order.

Benefits:

  • Quickly and easily view technician status history on a work order
  • Using the various status codes helps dispatchers and service stakeholders know exactly what is going on with each work order
