Overview:

The Catalog Information window can be utilized for building out supplier product catalogs in PENTA. The catalog window allows you to match up the supplier's part # with your internal part #, as well as track manufacturer codes, pricing factors, unit of measures, price per unit, price history, and quantity breaks. Catalogs can be referenced on purchase order to default the price per unit, product id, or supplier product id. This window, the Catalog PriceĀ  Modifiers window, allows you to mass update the catalog price information using an excel spreadsheet import process.

Price Import Process: Excel File Format Requirements

The following requirements apply to price information imported from an Excel file:

  • The file is a Microsoft Excel File.
  • Data for import is on the first worksheet of a workbook.
  • Named cells, rows and columns map data on the spreadsheet to PENTA. Named cells, rows and columns link spreadsheet data to corresponding PENTA fields allowing spreadsheet arrangement suited to individual needs.
  • You must have information grouped together by catalog id, vendor id, job id, and effective date.

Spreadsheet columns you include must have names for price information
