Overview:

The Public Liability Codes and Rates window is where Payroll can set up, by state, Public Liability rates, limits, and Job Cost Code/Cost Type Cross references. Public Liability, also known as General Liability, is taken by state where the actual rate is determined by the PL Code associated with the Pay Rate which the employee worked on a given timecard.  The Public Liability Information Codes and Rates screen allows for entries with multiple effective dates, allowing users to track the Public liability changes throughout time and enabling the correct rate to be taken if time is logged in previous periods. Rates can be set either as an amount per $100 dollars earned or amount per 100 hours worked.

Benefits:

  • Enables users to track changes in Public Liability Rates across time.
  • Gives users the ability to correctly withhold Public Liability Rates for time logged in periods dated before the most current PL Rate
  • Gives users the ability to tie PL rates to specific Jobs/Cost Types or Costcodes

  • Payroll Manager
  • Payroll Clerk
