Resolution/Fix/Answer
If the Batch Processing is stuck in the ICAP software, a restart of the service used by ICAP is required to start processing documents again. To do this:
- Log in to your ECMPROD or OCRPROD server.
- If you have both an ECMPROD and OCRPROD server, you will need log in to both and complete the steps below on each server.
- Open the Services desktop app.
- In the Services app, find the service named, "Hyland PROD_H AUTO INDEX & COMMIT & IMAGEPROCESS".
- If you are resetting ICAP in a different environment, it will have the environment name after 'Hyland'. For example Test will be named, "Hyland TEST_H AUTO INDEX & COMMIT & IMAGEPROCESS".
- To reset the service select the stop button in the toolbar at the top of the app. After the service has stopped, wait 10 seconds and click the start button to start the service again.
- To confirm that the service has started again, make sure that it has a status of "Running".
NOTE: It may take a few minutes for the service to start processing documents again. It is recommended you wait 10 minutes before checking to see if the Batch Processing is still stuck.
