Overview:

The Product Attributes are other pieces of information than a standard field that should be associated or tracked with a product Id.  Tracking Attributes require the attribute to be entered on each transfer or receipt so that individual piece can be traced from PO Receipt to Warehouse to Job and back.  In other words, on each of those transactions the tracking attribute entry is required.  An example tracking attribute is a Serial #.

Benefits:

  • Ability to track one specific product from A to B, which is helpful if a recall is made and knowing exactly where a part is

Roles:

  • Warehouse Manager
  • Purchasing Manager

Additional Content

  • Tracking Attributes need to be assigned to Product Ids before the Inventory Transfers occur to create quantities.
