The Costcode Breakdowns window allows to you create/modify your organization's work breakdown structure. For example, I you can breakdown a standard 4 digit costcode into two or more sub categories called segments. By providing breakdowns in the costcode structure, reports can be generated to view summarized cost by the breakdown categoriessegments. Below is a brief example using a four digit costcode. Using the costcode breakdown of phase and detail, I you can now run reports to view total cost by individual phasesphase, or total cost by detail, or total cost across all phases.
- First 1 digit represents the Phase
- Last 3 digits represent the detailDetail
