Overview:

The State Codes window allows you to maintain state and province codes, state unemployment tax wage limits, workers compensation earnings limits, state weeks worked criteria, and reciprocal tax agreement information.

PENTA uses the state and province codes defined here as possible values in various fields. It uses other information for assorted payroll processes.

Tax Information window is where you can assign SUT, FUT, EAF, SUI, and/or SDI tax rates, at a Legal Entity and State level. Within this window, you can also define default accrual and expense accounts, for SIT, SUT, SDI, and SUI. These accounts will default automatically from the US Payroll Accrual/Expense Accounts window, but can be overridden here. 

Benefits:

  • Define default tax rates for SUT, FUT, EAF, SUI, and SDI tax types
  • Override the default accrual/expense accounts for each tax type
